Gourmet Boutique has attained certification as a Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 3 Food Manufacturer by the independent certifying body, NSF International. Gourmet Boutique was awarded an Excellent Rating, the highest level of compliance, and this places us among an elite group of only 18 U.S. manufacturers of Ready To Eat foods who have implemented this level of food safety and quality programs.
The SQF Institute, a division of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), is the leading global food safety quality certification system. SQF is designed as a food safety program, but it also incorporates product quality, a feature that is unique to a certification program of this type. Assuring consistent quality and meeting buyer specifications are important aspects of the buyer-supplier relationship. SQF certification is supported by an increasing number of U.S. and international retailers and food service providers who express a preference for suppliers who implement HACCP-based (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) food safety and quality management systems.
